This is a farm to table restaurant. Uncle's gets fresh ingredients from about 10 farms based on their website. Had high expectations coming in based on the fact that friends and friends of friends recommended this place. It did not disappoint. Our server Joe was friendly and knowledgeable of everything that was on the menu. Joe was a great server.

For my drink I ordered the Mango Otai
Muddled fresh mango, coconut milk, coconut water, mango infused vodka, koloa coconut rum, served on the rocks. It was fruity and strong. The best of both worlds.

My husband ordered the Pineapple Mojito
Muddled pineapple and fresh mint, with koloa hawaiian rum, coconut water, fresh lime and soda. He said it was refreshingly strong.

For the appetizer we ordered the Hawaiian Nachos
Crispy wonton chips topped with shaved coconut, charred corn, tomato, avocado chunks and mango salsa, with sriracha sour cream and shredded cabbage with chicken. You can also order it with Tuna poke, Kalua Pig, Spam, and Crispy Tofu. A taste of the tropics in every bite.

                                                 Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Beef and pork meatballs, grilled pineapple, Hawaiian barbeque sauce. Tender, sweet, and delicious.

For our main entrees we selected:

                                                    The Brothers
Grilled pineapple, kalua pig, swiss cheese, Tonkatsu (Japanese barbecue) sauce and crispy shallot.
My husband truly enjoyed this.

                                                       Uncles Mixed Plate
A sampling trio of pulled Huli Huli Chicken, Shrimp Shack Skewer and Beef Teriyaki, served with Asian stir fry. I also added pork. I'm not a big meat eater but this was so good I couldn't stop eating all the different meats on the plate. Almost forgot about the side of rice and macaroni salad.

For dessert we both ordered the Haupia Cheesecake

Layers of coconut cream and chocolate cheesecake, with chocolate macadamia cookie crust, whipped coconut cream and shaved chocolate. This was one of the best cheesecake we have ever had. Absolutely delicious!!

Even if you're a picky eater, like my husband, and  think you will not find anything you like on their menu, give them a chance, you may find something you love that will keep you coming back for more.
